Vanderbilt Ambulances Change Colors

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Vanderbilt University's school colors will soon grace the ambulances of Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The old orange and white look is getting kicked to the curb in favor of the traditional Vandy black and gold.

The orange and white was mandated by the state, but new rules are in effect now which allow ambulance programs across the state to display a variety of colors.

The new design is consistent with the look of the LifeFlight Helicopters: a swooping black and gold element highlighted with LifeFlight's "wings."

"We're very excited to be able to make this change and appreciate the hard work of our State EMS officials in guiding us through the new process," said Jeanne Yeatman, R.N., EMT, director of LifeFlight in a statement delivered to Channel 4 News.

Wrapartist.com worked in conjunction with Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Strategic Marketing and Communications Department to create the new look.
