NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Veteran kicker Ryan Succop has agreed to a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans who chose to go with experience rather than an undrafted rookie. Agent Joel Turner said Monday that Succop is happy with a "very good opportunity in a fine organization."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with linebacker Quentin Groves as they continue tinkering with the roster. The Titans announced the deal Monday. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Groves is a six-year veteran who spent last season with Cleveland under Ray Horton, now the Titans' defensive coordinator.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee is accustomed to kicking off the year with a dominant defensive performance. This time, the Volunteers want to keep that momentum going the rest of the season for a change. Tennessee held Utah State star quarterback Chuckie Keeton in check and forced three turnovers Sunday in a 38-7 rout.

ATLANTA (AP) - Cole Hamels and three Philadelphia Phillies relievers combined to pitch a no-hitter Monday, beating the Atlanta Braves 7-0 and giving a last-place team a rare reason to celebrate. Hamels was pulled after six innings and seemed fine with the decision. He struck out seven, walked five, hit a batter and threw 108 pitches.
