Troubled club can reopen

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Out of Bounds Bar and Grill, which was determined by Metro Police to be a public nuisance and padlocked last week, will be allowed to reopen.

The owners of the bar went before a Davidson County judge asking to have the injunction lifted.

According to the Davidson County District Attorney General's office, the judge agreed, provided new conditions are met.

The new conditions include shorter business hours. The bar cannot remain open past midnight during the week and 1 a.m. on weekends. Registered security guards will also be required to remain on the bar's property until all of the patrons have gone. The bar will also not be allowed to organize or promote "bike nights."

Out of Bounds will also be required to meet all fire, health and codes requirements before it receives a permit.

According to the Attorney General's Office, Metro police officers have responded to nearly 200 calls to the Murfreesboro Road bar between January and May of this year. Most of calls involved fighting, quarreling and noise complaints between the hours of 1 to 3 a.m.
