A former youth pastor who pleaded guilty in January to statutory rape will not go to prison.
Jonathan Giles, 26, must complete 240 hours of community service, continue living with his parents and stay in school, according to a report in the Leaf Chronicle newspaper.
Prosecutors said Giles had sexual contact with a 17-year-old girl while he was working as a youth pastor at Spring Creek Baptist Church. He was arrested in June 2009.
