Updated: April 2, 2011
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Dozens of customers crammed into a west Nashville Pep Boys during a grand reopening celebration Saturday.

The shop is back in business for the first time since the May Flood.

The Charlotte Pike store was inundated by water when the flood hit.

Surveillance cameras captured dramatic video of water filling the store and breaking the front windows.

"Unfortunately, it was a very tragic flood and it took us a year but we've rebuilt the store," said division vice president Mike McSorley.

During Saturday's grand reopening celebration managers offered discounts on several services and auto parts.

Flood repairs cost tens of thousands of dollars.

"We had to re-merchandise the entire store," McSorley said. "It's been built from the ground up.
