Symposium Brings High-Caliber Names To Nashville 3-21-2011


Some of the nation's brightest political minds are coming to town for Vanderbilt's annual impact symposium.

Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington and Weekly Standard editor William Kristol will lead a discussion about the media and the middle class.
Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former White House adviser Christina Romer will talk Tuesday about America's economic policies.
Both lectures will be held at Langford Auditorium. Tickets are $10.
Vanderbilt's Impact Symposium dates back to the 1960s and has brought dozens of well-known speakers to Nashville over the years. Among them, Martin Luther King Jr., President Jimmy Carter and Newt Gingrich.
