A Ku Klux Klan leader from Tennessee could be having a Mississippi license plate made in his honor. A Mississippi veteran group wants to sponsor a new license plate featuring Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest. Forrest was a Klan leader known for leading the 1864 massacre of black Union troops at Fort Pillow. The NAACP president is opposed to the new plate, saying Mississippi shouldn't honor a man who led a terrorist group.
