A former detective known for cracking some of Nashville's most notorious murder cases may be running for Metro Council.
The Tennessean newspaper reports retired Metro Detective Bill Pridemore appointed a campaign treasurer for the council's District 9 seat that represents the Madison and Neely's Bend area.
As a cold case detective, Pridemore worked on the Janet March and Marcia Trimble cases.
Incumbent Jim Forkum can't run again due to term limits. He told The Tennessean he would probably support Pridemore if he does become a candidate.
