It's been eight years in the making, and now it looks as though Radnor State Park is about to expand.
The Friends of Radnor Lake purchased about 40 acres of land on the southeastern edge of the park near Lakemont Drive and Franklin Pike.
The family chose to sell the land to Radnor Lake to preserve the area rather than sell to a developer.
The organization paid $900,000 for the land. It's the largest piece of land the group has bought in 20 years.
