Family and friends will say their final goodbyes Monday to a high school football player who lost his battle with cancer.
Dylan Rebeor, also known as "Clutch," was a wide receiver for Columbia Central High School. The 16-year-old was diagnosed with colon cancer seven months ago and passed away Friday, just hours before his team was set to play in the state championship. The team went on to win against the Hendersonville High School Commandos.
"His mother told me, Five minutes before he died, he asked me if we won. She said, Yes, honey, we won,'" family friend Rick Points told Channel 4's news partners at the Columbia Daily Herald.
Funeral services for Dylan will be held Monday at 5 p.m. at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church, 2712 Trotwood Ave., in Columbia.
