Nissan Recalls Some Smyrna-Made Vehicles 11-12-2010
Nissan North America, Inc. said it is recalling thousands of vehicles made in Smyrna because they could become tough to steer. The recall includes Frontier pickup trucks and Xterra SUVs from model years 2002 to 2004 that were manufactured at the Smryna Nissan plant. The company said there's a corrosion problem in the steering column, which can limit steering or even cause the joint to crack. No injuries have been reported. Nissan is contacting owners, and dealers will make repairs.
