Hybrid bicycles that look like antique cars were showcased Wednesday at the Green Business Summit at Lipscomb University.
Rhoades Cars are four-wheel bicycles made in Hendersonville, according to owner Bill Pomakoy. The bikes are pedal-powered but can also be outfitted with a small electrical engine.
Pomakoy said David Rhoades came up with the idea for the vehicles about 30 years ago. Pomakoy said he's trying to take the company to the next level with a new line of industrial bikes.
He said the bikes can help keep up employee health and morale, in addition to helping companies with transportation.
