Old Military Fort Gets Facelift 2-15-2010

Reported by Carley Gordon
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.An old military fort in Clarksville is about to get a million-dollar face lift.
Fort Defiance was built during the Civil War and was used during the Union's capture of Clarksville.
Soon it will become home to a 4,700-square-foot museum.
The project actually began in 2008, but it was put on hold when the government withheld a grant.
The money was recently reinstated and now construction is scheduled to begin this week.
Contractors say they plan to finish the project by October of 2010.
