Nancy Van Camp

WSMV Channel 4 Meteorologist Nancy Van Camp grew up in West Virginia, where she began her broadcast career at a country radio station. Having moved to Nashville nearly 20 years ago, she now feels like a bona fide native of Tennessee. Nancy is a graduate of the College of Mass Communication at Middle Tennessee State University with an emphasis in journalism. (And a little known fact: She and WSMV morning anchors Holly Thompson and Aaron Solomon were fellow classmates at MTSU. Small world.)

Nancy also earned certification in Broadcast Meteorology at Mississippi State University and has obtained the coveted Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society. She has received an Emmy Award and Tennessee Associated Press Award for her reporting on the historic flood in Red Boiling Springs.

Over the years, Nancy has developed a passion for animals and their welfare. She holds a special affection for two black lab rescues-- Ramsey and Max.
