Titans TE Scaife Signs Tender

(Sports Network) - Tennessee Titans tight end Bo Scaife inked his one-year franchise tender contract on Monday.

The Tennessean confirmed the signing, reporting the fifth-year pro is slated to make $4.46 million in 2009.

The Titans slapped the franchise tag on the University of Texas product in the offseason, after the 28-year-old recorded career highs in receptions (58) and yards (561) to go along with two touchdowns over 16 games in 2008.

Over his first four seasons, Scaife has compiled 170 catches for 1,625 yards and seven TDs. He also has one rushing attempt, which resulted in a touchdown.
