A case of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA, has been reported in Wilson County.

A student at Gladeville Elementary has the strain, according to school officials.

There was another report of MRSA at a Lebanon city school.

School officials said they thought a girl had staph over fall break but that turned out not to be the case.

MRSA is a strain of staph infection that can be resistant to antibiotics.
