SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. -- A school resource officer in Robertson County is worried that someone is going to get hurt if something is not done about the growing amount of gangs.Deputy Wesley Compton roams the halls protecting Springfield Middle School. In a recent report, he said there are 10 different gangs whose members flash gang signs and wear gang colors. He also claims students have been approached by gang members and asked to join.
The principal told the Robertson County Times that he has seen writing on the bathroom walls, but not much else that would lend evidence to Compton’s fears.
