Man Wielding Shotgun Killed By Police
Authorities Said Terry Hutchison Pointed Gun At Them Twice, Refused To Drop Weapon

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. -- Springfield officers said a man standing on his porch Tuesday morning pointed a shotgun at them, forcing them to shoot and kill him.Police said they gave Terry Hutchison an opportunity to put down the gun, but he refused to cooperate with authorities.Paramedics took Hutchison from his Page Street home to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The officers involved in the shooting are Cpl. Thad Dorris, Sgt. Kyle Reeves and Ofc. Curtis Scott.
They have been put on administrative leave while the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation analyzes the incident.
