COLUMBIA, Tenn. -- Columbia elected a new mayor on Tuesday.
Council member Dean Dickey beat out four other candidates to replace outgoing Mayor Bill Gentner. Dickey beat out two other council members and local businesses man and a sheriff's deputy for the seat.Columbia Vice Mayor Wayne Kennedy retained his seat by 40 votes.
