    Belmont Begins Prepping For Presidential Debate

    Debate To Follow Town Hall-Type Format

    Signs of the upcoming presidential debate at Belmont University are starting to appear.

    A sign has been placed on Belmont Boulevard that says, "The race to the White House runs through Belmont."

    The Oct. 7 debate at Curb Event Center will use a town hall format with the audience posing questions directly to the candidates.

    The Republican nominee for president is John McCain. Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., and Barack Obama, D-Ill., are vying to be the Democratic nominee.
