NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Both mayoral campaigns did their best to get the vote out on Election Day.

Febian Bedne is a supporter who was warned to stay at least 100 feet away from the polling place.

“I have to stand behind the line. I was told if I step over this line I would go to jail,” Bedne said.

Still he stays on his side of the line in hopes that people will show up to vote.

Vans were used by both campaigns to transport voters.

Bob Clement rented about 15 in hopes of eliminating excuses and the chances for a loss.

“The hope is to get Bob Clement elected. That's who I am taking them for but you never know,” said a van driver.

Numbers were low at precincts around town by Tuesday afternoon, and some said the large number of early voters has contributed to the smaller numbers on Election Day.
