Norman Hsu was captured in Colorado on Thursday. He was arrested in California last week for a 15-year-old felony theft conviction.

He was supposed to be back in court on Wednesday to turn over his passport and ask for a reduction in his $2 million bail, but officials said when he didn't show, a judge issued another arrest warrant and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents tracked him to a Grand Junction hospital.

Hsu has donated more than $600,000 to Democratic causes in recent years and some of that money has gone to lawmakers in Tennessee.

Officials said that a lot of politicians who have received money from Hsu are donating the money to charity.

The Tennessee Democratic Party and Harold Ford Jr. said they would not donate what they had received from Hsu because the money has already been spent.

According to records, Ford received almost $15,000 from Hsu from 2005 to 2006 and the Tennessee Democratic Party said they received $58,000.

A spokesman said that “No action is planned in light of this new incident regarding the controversial fundraiser Norman Hsu.”

Hsu has been accused of giving money to people so they can give it to Democratic causes.
