Sara Dorsey anchors Channel 4 News Today on the weekends and has reported on stories across Middle Tennessee.She previously worked at Tampa Bay's CBS affiliate since 2005 and also as a correspondent for CNN. While at CNN, she told the world about many big stories, such as the hurricanes of 2004 and the tragic Jessica Lunsford case. Other major stories she covered while at CNN include the Atlanta crane jumper, the presidential debate in Miami, the runaway bride, Atlanta courthouse shooting, Michael Jackson's jury selection and the sentencing of Eric Rudolph.Before CNN, she worked at WOI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa, as a crime and court reporter. There, she also had the opportunity to become involved in political reporting while covering the Iowa caucuses. She started her television news career at WKAG in Hopkinsville, KY, a small station where she was able to do just about everything related to news, including anchoring.A graduate of Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Mo., Sara earned a B.A in Communications with a certificate in writing. She enjoys reading and traveling across the country visiting friends and family. She is proud to say that her most significant, life-changing event was watching her mother successfully fight breast cancer.
