Jonathan Martin
Jonathan Martin is an award-winning journalist who co-anchors Channel 4 News Today/Saturday with Sara Dorsey. He is the youngest person currently anchoring a newscast in the Nashville market. He is also a fill-in anchor for other WSMV shows.You can watch Jonathan reporting on the big stories during the week. He played a key role in the station's extensive coverage of former Titans quarterback Steve McNair's murder, landing several exclusive interviews. He also worked with Dateline NBC in covering the trial for accused serial rapist Jason Burdick.Before joining Channel 4 in 2007, Jonathan spent two years at WRDW-TV, the CBS affiliate in Augusta, Ga.Jonathan is a proud graduate of Auburn University, where he was an anchor for Eagle Eye News. He also worked as an intern at WSB-TV in his hometown of Atlanta, Ga.Jonathan has been recognized numerous times for his work, including honors from the RTNDA, The Associated Press and NAACP.In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys lifting weights, martial arts and basketball. He's also an accomplished choreographer and is founder of the AU Rhythm Hip-Hop dance troupe. The co-ed group is one of the top collegiate dance troupes in the country.Jonathan is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and serves on advisory boards for Nashville MOTTEP and Just Us Kids, Inc. He also mentors two boys through Middle Tennessee's "Big Brothers" organization.
