NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Police on Thursday arrested two young men they suspect of throwing a homeless woman into the Cumberland River, killing her earlier this month. The suspects, Timothy S. Weber, 21, of Lebanon, Tenn., and Josh S. Dotts, 22, of Lafayette, Tenn., were transported to the Criminal Justice Center in Nashville Thursday afternoon. Both men are charged with criminal homicide.Police said Tara Cole was pushed into the river on Aug. 11 at Riverfront Park. After searching for a week and a half, her body was finally recovered this week. The arrests came after a video was aired by media outlets this week that showed two men near Riverfront Park at about the time of the crime.Police said the men came to Nashville searching for homeless people to torment, were possibly drinking and may have pushed Cole into the water as a joke.Police said they believe Weber is the one who actually pushed Cole into the water. The two men are also charged with aggravated assault.Police said Dotts allegedly struck another homeless man with a bottle on the same night Cole was pushed into the river.
