Damian Rucker Died Two Days After Being Shot In The Head

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A South Nashville man died Saturday, two days after being shot in the head outside of his home on Mt. Pisgah Road.Police said 18-year-old Eric McBroom surrendered Saturday afternoon and was booked for the murder of 20-year-old Damian Rucker. Police said the two men were engaged in a long-running feud.Police said on Thursday night, McBroom and two other men were removing a dog pen from Rucker's property. Rucker came outside and the two began fighting.Witnesses told police Rucker hit McBroom in the head. Police said McBroom then pulled out a pistol, shot Rucker in the head at close range and ran away.Rucker died Saturday at Vanderbilt Medical Center.McBroom is being held without bond in the Metro jail.
