Dog Owner Gets Plea Deal In Abuse Case
Guy Shepard Can't Have Another Pet For 2 Years

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- The dog owner who the Humane Society said left his German shepherd chained up for months without care won't spend any time in jail for it.In May of last year, Humane Society officials said they found the 14-year-old dog, Trey, in such bad shape that a vet had to put him to sleep on site.The Humane Society said the dog's owner, Guy Shepard, reached a deal: He'll do 200 hours community service, give the Humane Society $300 and won't be allowed to own another pet for two years.
