Cannon County Driver Swerves, Hits Runner

Victim Taken To Vanderbilt Medical Center

WOODBURY, Tenn. -- A driver who swerved to miss another car hit a jogger Thursday morning in Cannon County.

The incident happened in the Short Mountain area on Blue Hills Road just before 6 a.m.

Authorities said the jogger had to be rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville by helicopter. His condition was unclear.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
