Could Opryland Theme Park Return?

Gaylord Spokesperson Does Not Deny Rumor

For everyone who misses the Opryland theme park, there is news that might cheer you up.

There is talk that Gaylord Entertainment expanding its business, especially since Nashville's new convention center just received approval.

According to the City Paper, a theme park might be part of the plan. A spokesperson for Gaylord on Monday did not deny the possibility.

Gaylord closed the Opryland theme park in 1997 and built the Opry Mills shopping center in its place.
