Metro police said a 21-year-old man was found shot to death Tuesday afternoon inside his apartment in the Beechwood Terrace complex on Bell Road.

The victim, whose name is being withheld until his family is notified out of state, was discovered around 1:10 p.m. by a pest control worker who was going into the apartment for routine spraying. Detectives found no signs of forced entry.

Police aren't sure of the exact time of the shooting. The victim was last seen by co-workers on Sunday night. He was not scheduled to report back to work until Tuesday.
