MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- In Murfreesboro Saturday morning, emergency crews said a neighbor jumped into action to pull a woman from her burning house.
The fire happened at about 4:30 a.m. at a triplex on West Street.Firefighters said Charles Sims jumped into one of the burning units and pulled the woman to safety. She was being treated at Vanderbilt University's Burn Unit in Nashville with severe injuries to her lower body.Everyone else who lives in the burned triplex will have to find somewhere else to stay. The Red Cross is assisting those affected.
