Local Military Police Unit Returns Home

170 Soldiers From Murfreesboro Return From Year In Iraq

The Tennessee Army National Guard's 269th Military Police Company from Murfreesboro is home after a 10-month deployment to Iraq.

The 170-member unit returned the Guard's Volunteer Training Site at Smyrna Airport Friday night where they were greeted by hundreds of family and friends.

One member of the 269th, 1st Lt. William Eric Emmert, was killed in action in Iraq on Feb. 24.
