LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. -- A surgeon in Lawrenceburg is facing charges, accused of stalking a woman and drunken driving.

Dr. William Fontenot was arrested Thursday night. According to WLX Radio, police had gotten a tip that Fontenot was armed and had made threats against his ex-girlfriend.

Officers tracked down 41-year-old Fontenot and pulled him over.

Officer said the doctor failed field sobriety tests and had two loaded handguns in the car.

Fontenot is a licensed orthopedic surgeon and has worked at Crockett Hospital for about a year.
