More Police At Homecoming Concert, Future Public Events

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Everyone who attends the homecoming concert Thursday night at Tennessee State University will be exposed to metal detectors and bag checks.TSU police chief Sylvia Russell said extra security will be used at all future public events.Russell said it's necessary to ensure the safety of students and the public.The homecoming concert, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Howard C. Gentry Complex, features several rap artists.Russell recommended that people attending the concert arrive early to go through the security checkpoints.
