Police Use Taser, Say Jermaine Doster Ignored Their Orders

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A Vanderbilt University running back's brush with the law has cost him his spot on the team.Head Coach Bobby Johnson said Jermaine Doster was suspended from the team indefinitely for violating team rules.The Nashville City Paper said Doster, who's from Tampa, Fla., got into a fight over the weekend in downtown Nashville and ignored orders from police officers. Police used a Taser stun gun on the sophomore, and he was arrested.Doster wasn't traveling with the football team, which was playing at Army. He has appeared once this season.He is the younger brother of the late Kwane Doster, a Vanderbilt running back shot to death in Tampa in 2004.
