Hendersonville police arrested a woman on Sunday night for allegedly stealing a car with a baby inside.

Police said Amanda Wells took a car from a Mapco store in Goodlettsville.

Apparently, the owner had left the keys and her baby inside while she went into the store.

The owner said two good samaritans tried to chase down the car after it was stolen. The good samaritans also called 911.

Wells was pulled over by police a short time later on Center Point Road in Hendersonville and arrested. The baby was not hurt.

Wells is charged with theft and kidnapping.
