COLUMBIA, Tenn. -- The state has given the green light to a controversial drug treatment center.Wednesday, the state approved Recovery of Columbia's certificate of need to open a methadone clinic in Columbia.The company wants to open the facility in the Campbell Plaza shopping center.Opponents are concerned about safety and argue that may drive away business. It isn't a done deal yet. Next, the plan moves to the city's zoning board for consideration.
