ANTIOCH, Tenn. -- The driver of a sport utility vehicle hit two vehicles Monday afternoon in Antioch before eventually crashing himself, police said.

Police said the SUV slammed into the back of a dump truck on Interstate 24 and kept going.The driver ended up on Burkitt Road in Cain Ridge, Tenn., where police said he side-swiped another car while attempting to pass on a double yellow line.That's when, police said, he lost control, hit a telephone pole, was ejected and was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center with serious injuries.Officials are running tests to see if he was driving under the influence.Copyright 2009 by WSMV.com.
