COLUMBIA, Tenn. -- City leaders in Columbia are going to allow guns in city parks.This week, the City Council voted again to defeat a measure to ban guns.The state recently passed a law allowing permitted gun owners to carry guns in state and local parks but gave cities the authority to opt out.Columbia's City Council voted not to opt out last month, but the council considered the issue again after the state attorney general questioned the legality of allowing guns in parks during school events.
