I-Team: Details Emerge About Kazemi's Ex-Boyfriend

Police Report Indicates History Of Violence Between Kazemi, Norfleet

More clues emerged on Tuesday in the death of Steve McNair and his 20-year-old girlfriend Sahel Kazemi.

Investigators learned new details about the relationship between McNair and Kazemi that they hope will reveal what happened the night of the shootings.

Channel 4 also obtained new information about Kazemi's ex-boyfriend Keith Norfleet, an aspiring rapper who is not considered a suspect but knows her well and has spoken at length with investigators.

Friends said he opposed her relationship with McNair and is devastated by her death.

"He's called out of work for a week. He has varied contact with people. I tried to call him. His sister picked up and said he doesn't feel like talking. He's really down and out," said friend Antonio Watson.

It was Norfleet who picked up Kazemi's Escalade after she was arrested on drunken driving charges on Thursday while McNair was in the passenger seat.

In an e-mail obtained by the Channel 4 I-Team, Norfleet tipped off a newspaper about McNair's connection to the driving under the influence charge, with the subject line, "Pretty interesting news about our golden boy McNair."

He goes on to write, "You would be pretty amazed at the fact of who he was actually with, which I really don't think his wife would like it too much either."

Norfleet's friends have been involved in the case as well. His friend, Matt Coleman, posted an update on MySpace, writing, "**** the quarterback. Who is McNair in 09? R.I.P. Sahel Kazemi."

The message indicates it was posted before the killings, but the I-Team learned Coleman spoke with investigators on Monday night and said he wrote the posting after the murder, not before.

Norfleet's relationship with Kazemi was up and down. A police report from January shows Kazemi complained that Norfleet struck her with a phone, but she declined to press charges.

Lyrics to his song "What To Do" hint at his frustrations in his relationship with Kazemi.

"It's the same **** thing for last three months. You've been doing your own thing and I've been having to front like I'm OK with it. But I'm sick of the situation. Every time you meet someone new, I'm placed in the back seat."

Norfleet isn't talking to the media and also has some graphic lyrics about guns, violence and suicide, but all were written before the murder and it's unclear if any of the songs have to do with Kazemi.

In regards to the investigation, police hope to have the ballistics test back by the end of the week. That's when they will learn if Kazemi's gun was the weapon used in the fatal shootings.
