Man Charged With Carjacking, Stabbing, Fire

Police Say Driver Attacked While In Overheated Car

A Clarksville man with a long criminal history has been charged with a carjacking, stabbing and fire.

Alprestonia Butler was already in the Montgomery County Jail for domestic assault when police linked him to a carjacking on June 5. Officers said he forced Jeffrey Miebach to drive to an isolated place, stabbed him and set the car on fire.

Miebach is still recovering at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Police said Butler attacked him while he sat in his overheated car.
