LaVERGNE, Tenn. -- Authorities said Monquell Carlos Mosby has used possibly dozens of women in middle Tennessee and nationwide to steal thousands of dollars. "This guy is meeting women through online dating forums and meeting them and stealing their identities," said Detective David Durham of the LaVergne Police Department. "(He will) steal their identities through Social Security cards, check cards, credit cards, anything of that nature that he can use pretty much online to make purchases or create accounts.""He's using them financially for his gain -- not for love, like what they're looking for," said Durham.Police believe Mosby has been living in middle Tennessee with family. They went to a LaVergne home two weeks ago to arrest him, but he was already on another online date he set up out of state.Family members said he has even stolen their identity."Me and my mom and a couple other, my sister, uncle, this is nothing new to him, but this was the icing on the cake," said Calvin Price, Mosby's brother.Price said he's tried to get his brother help in the past."He's slick. He's the perfect con-artist. You need to put his face on the picture and say, 'Don't be fooled by the smile," said Price."He's going to continue to do this across the country," said Durham. If you have come in contact with Mosby, police say to check your credit history and bank accounts.
