Emergency crews from six different counties -- Macon, Jackson, Putnam, Overton, Smith and Monroe Ky. -- responded after a van slammed into the back of a bus on Highway 53, said Clay County EMA Director Natalie Boone.

The bus was carrying children from Clay County High School and Celina Elementary.

Boone said no one suffered critical injuries.

All of the injured were taken to either Cumberland River Hospital or Livingston Regional Hospital.
