HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. -- Hendersonville police said on Monday they arrested and charged an 18-year-old man with raping a child.
Video: Man, 18, Charged With Raping ChildPolice said in a press release that they received a report on Friday that a 4-year-old girl was raped by a substitute teacher at the Children First Program preschool, which is located at the First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville.Hendersonville police Det. Jim Bachman arrested the substitute teacher, Andrew C. Glidwell, 18, on Saturday and charged him with child rape.Police are asking the public for any help they can provide in the case."Any crime involving children is disturbing," said Capt. James Jones. "We take those very seriously."Senior Pastor Michael E. Williams said in a release that the church is cooperating fully with agencies involved in the investigation.Glidwell is being held on a $150,000 bond and awaiting a hearing within the next 10 days.
