MONTREAL -- A man who has been on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's 10 Most Wanted List for six years was captured Tuesday morning in Canada.The TBI said Russell Victor McCollum, 30, was tracked down in Montreal, Quebec, where he had barricaded himself in an apartment. Canadian Border Security entered the apartment and took McCollum into custody.McCollum, a former student at Nashville's Lipscomb University, was arrested on several outstanding Tennessee warrants, including sexual battery of a child.Original warrants were taken out for his arrest in 1999. In March 2001, police said McCollum failed to appear for trial and has been missing since then.McCollum was added to the TBI's Top 10 Most Wanted List in August of 2002.The TBI said a lead was generated through the America's Most Wanted television program in February of 2008, which helped TBI track him down in Montreal.The TBI said it will pay $5,000 to the person who led authorities to McCollum.
