NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee State University officials said two students were held at gunpoint at a residence hall Wednesday night.
Video: Students Held At Gunpoint In TSU DormThe incident happened about 10 p.m., when three men walked into Boyd Residence Hall and held the students against their will. The thieves stole two laptops, but no one was hurt.University students were alerted of the holdup via text message.A TSU representative thinks a dorm door could have been unlocked, allowing the gunmen to gain access to the residence hall.Police have surveillance video of the incident. It was unclear if the intruders are TSU students."We've been reviewing the video all morning, trying to get a good picture of the faces. We can see the individuals leaving the residence hall," said TSU police Chief Sylvia Russell. "This will be a learning experience for our students and hopefully it will make them more aware of what we want them to do and to be aware of your surroundings and watch who you associate with."
