NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The woman accused of trying to steal a baby from Metro General Hospital agreed Tuesday to speed up her trial.Adriene Johnson, 24, appeared quickly in front of a judge, waived a preliminary hearing and bypassed a grand jury.Johnson is accused of dressing as a nurse last week and stealing Maia Renea Warmack, a day-old child.The hospital's security system went off and alerted personnel. The baby never left the hospital, and Johnson was quickly arrested.If a judge signs off on Tuesday's agreement, Johnson's case will go directly to criminal court.
