Two brothers and another teen appeared in Sumner County general sessions court Wednesday, saying that on separate occasions they had sex with Portland High School teacher Sandy Binkley, sometimes on school property during school hours.

In September, Binkley was charged with one count of statutory rape involving an authority figure. Since then, two more students have come forward, telling police they also had sex with Binkley.

One student testified that he was a Portland High School senior in March of this year and Binkley's teacher's aide aide when, he alleges, the two had sex on a desk in the girls' volleyball office.

"I was very confident. There was a lot of good stuff come out today," Binkley said. "I'm very confident in my attorneys. I just feel great about today. The truth's going to come out."

"The evidence will show in this case that there was a sexual contact and that it was a forced sexual contact," said Binkley's attorney David Ridings, trying to make a case that his client was raped by one of the students. "And the other stories that came in after that allegation was made, we're just telling you are not true."

The grand jury meets in January. If there's a trial, that won't happen until sometime in October or November of next year.
