The prognosis is good for a 16-year-old from LaVergne who just had a successful organ transplant.

According to a family spokesperson, Wednesday's surgery to replace Brandon Brewer's small and large bowel went well.

Brandon is still on a ventilator at the Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, but he's alert.

The teen had his first transplant at the age of 5. But last year, his body rejected the organ, and Brandon was back on the donor waiting list.

Brandon's progress can be tracked on his Web site.
