Some students from Middle Tennessee State University were forced to evacuate their dorm after a fire on campus Tuesday night.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. at Deere Hall. While students waited out in the cold, fire crews rushed inside to find the location of the fire.

The fire occurred when a steam line snapped, exposing electrical wires that caught fire.

Crews quickly knocked the fire out, but students had to wait to return to the dorm until the steam line could be fixed.

No one was hurt, and no dorm units were damaged.
